Q:  Do you have a video on how to use the charger?

Q:  What is the difference between the new MH-C9000PRO charger and the old MH-C9000 charger?

Q:  What is the difference between the MH-C9000PRO and MH-C980 analyzer chargers?
A:  Comparison:
The MH-C9000PRO charger is a 4-bank charger and a much more technical charger with 4 modes of operation to get more information from your batteries. It has a Charge Mode, Break-In Mode, Discharge Mode, and Refresh & Analyze Mode, charging and analyzing your batteries based on the selected settings. It also has Memory Settings and Easy Setup functions to make it easier to use.

The MH-C980 charger is an 8-bank charger with a Soft Charge Mode and a Turbo Mode to charge your batteries. It also has the Conditioning Mode to Refresh & Analyze your batteries to see their actual capacity and has fixed charge and discharge rates. However, it does not have additional functions to get more information from your batteries.

Q:  Can I charge my AA's and AAA's at the same time?
A:  Yes, you can charge both AA's and AAA's at the same time.

Q:  Can I leave my batteries in the charger?
A:  You can leave your batteries in the charger once they are done charging and don't have to take them out right away. However, we DO NOT recommend storing your batteries in the charger. You can use a battery holder to store your batteries.

Q:  Will the MH-C9000PRO charger help revive my old batteries?
A:  This charger helps revive old batteries that have not been used in a long time. However, it has limited effect on batteries that are in poor health due to regular wear and tear.

Q:  What happens if I insert my battery in the charger backwards? Will it damage the charger or battery?
A:  The charger will not charge that slot and will display the word HIGH on the screen. To ensure safety, the charger performs a battery health test at the beginning and the battery will fail the test.

Q:  Can I use other brand batteries in the charger?
A:  Yes, as long as they are NiMH rechargeable batteries. However, we always recommend using Powerex batteries for best performance.

Q:  For the Easy Setup function, do I insert 1 or ALL batteries at first?
A:  Insert 1 battery in slot 1, select your settings, then Press and Hold the Enter button for 2 seconds. Then you can insert the rest of your batteries. Give it a few seconds for the screen to display the charging status.

Q:  Why did the charger turn off after the initialization process? Is it broken?
A:  After the initialization process, the charger will go into standby mode with the display turned off. Simply insert a battery to start charging. Click Here to take a look on our YouTube video

Q:  Why is the charger displaying the word HIGH on my screen?
A:  You have a bad battery. To ensure safety, the charger performs a battery health test at the beginning. Typically, alkaline and extremely aged batteries will fail this test.

Q:  Can I charge lithium or alkaline batteries with this charger?
A:  No, the MH-C9000PRO will only charge NiMH and NiCD rechargeable batteries.

Q:  Do I need to break-in my NEW batteries in the Break-In Mode?
A:  You only need to break-in your new batteries if they are NOT low self-discharge batteries. All Powerex batteries, for example, are low self-discharge, so you do not need to break them in if they are new. If you need to break-in your new batteries, you MUST discharge them first in the Discharge Mode before using the Break-In Mode.

Q:  How long does it take for the batteries to break-in when using the Break-In Mode?
A:  It takes up to 39-45 hours to complete.

Q:  What are the charging and discharging rates for my battery?
A:  Below is a table for the recommended charging/discharging rates according to your battery capacity. If your battery capacity fall in between two of the capacities listed, use the lower capacity. Ex: 2500mAh, use the rates of the 2400mAh.
